WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The spotted Saddle Horse Association of Illinois (SSHAI) is a group formed in 2000 to promote the Spotted Saddle Horse and to develop friendships associated with this breed. We are affiliated with and are an extension of the Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association (SSHBEA) in Shelbyville, Tennessee. We promote by exhibiting at horse fairs, county and state fairs, horse shows and regional parades. We are a relatively small organization that meets several times a year in central Illinois, but have members from both the northern and southern parts of the state. We organize at two shows a year and at least one trail ride each year!
SPOTS ON THE RAIL OR ON THE TRAIL!
The nice part of owning a Spotted Saddle Horse is that this horse is at ease in the show ring, competing in sport horse events, on the trail, or just standing around showing off their natural beauty. Our friendly Association attempts to bring together the various interests of every owner and encourage their participation in all the fun acitvities. The wonderful disposition of the breed makes it a great horse for both young and old alike.
FAMILY FUN
We encourage all family members to become involved with the sport. Single folks are welcome also. Come on out to one of the events this year and get acquainted with any of our members. Ask all the questions you want and you can even ride a horse or two!
